Bridget’s Orthodontic Journey in Bridgeman Downs

We would like to share Bridget’s smile transformation journey. Bridget is our lovely patient from Bridgeman Downs who didn’t like the lower crowding of her teeth and upper general alignment.

Dental crowding occurs when teeth have competed for space in the mouth and have grown improperly, causing teeth to be twisted and misaligned. In an ideal alignment of teeth, there is just the right amount of space to grow in without crowding or leaving gaps between them.

In Bridget’s case, crowding occurred in her lower teeth, causing a misaligned appearance.

To give her the smile makeover she wanted, we gave her Clear Aligners and Interproximal reduction on upper and lower arches. Interproximal reduction or IPR is used to mechanically remove enamel from between the teeth. It is used to help with orthodontic treatments, which may include correcting crowding or reshaping the area between the neighbouring teeth. This technique is used in Bridget’s treatment to help her teeth adjust and move to a more suitable place to grow straighter and more aligned.
