While they are called coloured braces, it’s the elastic bands that provide the colour. The elastic bands are used to connect the braces on your teeth to the wire which is used to move teeth into their ideal position. The elastics hold the wire in place and coloured elastics add flare and personality to your treatment as well!

One more tip; avoid white and clear bands if you enjoy foods that stain, especially curries.. Also, white bands can make teeth appear dull, and yellow bands might make teeth look stained.
