When teeth compete for space in the mouth and grow incorrectly, they twist and become misaligned, resulting in dental crowding. Teeth crowding can also lead to serious issues because plaque and calculus can accumulate in these areas and sit on the teeth, causing tooth decay, and if left untreated, it can cause tooth loss.

On the other hand, crossbite is usually caused by a dental or skeletal problem or a combination of both. These problems may be caused by habits, tooth growth delays, bone structure problems, upper airway problems, or genetics.

After Alexander’s initial appointment and a series of tests, we decided to give him clear aligners for his treatment. He also had Interproximal reduction (IPR) and added Class III elastics for his treatment.
