The 35th Australian Dental Congress

The 35th Australian Dental Congress will take place in Melbourne from April 3-7, 2013. It will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre next to the Yarra River in South Wharf and inner-city suburb of Melbourne. The congress will feature a scientific program with lectures and workshops as well as a trade exhibition. Delegates will have access to a combination of clinically relevant scientific presentations as well as four hands-on workshops. The trade exhibition is the largest in Australia. The scientific program topics include orthodontics, prosthodontics, endodontics, and dental implants. The program is designed for dentists, dental specialists including orthodontists and dental assistants.

Orthodontic lectures will include a presentation on new technology in orthodontics. “Does new technology make teeth straighter and in a faster time?” Discussion will include low friction braces and vibration devices for braces. Other presentations will discuss orthodontic treatment for missing teeth and another on managing compromised teeth from an orthodontic perspective. Early treatment with braces and plates for dental crowding will be the topic of another orthodontic presentation.

There is a significant amount of content on orthodontics, as well as content on many of the other disciplines in dentistry at the 35th Australian Dental Congress in Melbourne, April 2013. The Australian Dental Congress takes place every two years and Brisbane is the host city for 2015.
